Farm visit at Thanksgiving Point

The Last of August we decided to visit the dino museum, but everyone in lehi decided to visit it too, so we went to farm country instead. It was only 2 bucks- can't beat that. Ok so we could beat the deal by going to the Peck farm for free, but anyways. It is pretty cute, and is filled with all sorts of animals. Mac & Hal on the farm scale, I don't think it worked right? First we went to see the horse, cows and pony's. Hal loved the pony she called them baby horses. This one came right up to us, he loved attention. The pony then decided that Hal pink dress looked yummy. The Pony was eating Hal dress. Hallee didn't like this at all. I had to first take a picture then go to the rescue. Hayride (kind of lame) but Hallee loved it. Can't really tell from my picture though. Overall it was fun; they have pigs, cows, horsed, birds, etc. they have ducks you can feed, but they weren't interested when we went to feed them. So we gave our grains to the cows and chickens (don't know if we were allowed to or not? ops). They did have a Pony ride, that Hallee wanted to go on but it was like a 100 degrees and there were tonz of kids in line, so needless to say we skipped this. Lake Powell 2010

Lake Powell this year was bitter sweet. All the family missed my grandmother, I am sure my grandpa felt for her the most. It just wasn't quite the same without her. But this was one of the funest trips. Hallee made so many new friends, I have so many wonderful cousin and aunts and uncles that just play with her and loved her the whole trip. Thanks everyone so much for watching my girl, it made our trip that much more enjoyable. Ben doing what he does best. My car was the first there to meet the house boat, needless to say Hallee was the very first one in the water. My beautiful cousin-Shan, me & Rach Hallee with her cousin Tubbing. They are so brave! Grandpa shooting lizards off the cliff wall, with a water gun. Shan would then catch them and the little kids kept them as pets for a day. Funny thing is Hallee wouldn't even touch them. This picture reminds me of my grandma. she would always take slow ride by herself. Our Family in the sand. Hallee loved loved loved the sand. It was kind of hard to convince her to come out of it. Our spot was very nice our houseboat was tucked under a cliff. It did rain the first day and we didn't get any being in the cove. Our First Family Beck Trip

Yellowstone- 24th of July The first place we went was to see Old Faithful and yes she was faithful - it shot up in the sky, right on time. Sorry i didn't get a picture of it actually erupting. It was pretty neat, i was a little disappointed that we couldn't get closer to it. Hallee on the bridge. Right now Hallee loves bridges and tunnels etc. Needless to say we had to stop here for a little while. Yellowstone is beautiful, it reminds me of Utah only a lot greener. Hallee drinking lots of water that Ben was packing around for us. Ben & Hallee posing in front of one of the hundreds of geysers in Yellowstone. The weather was nice 72-75 degrees the first day, perfect. The second day was a little hot 78-80 degrees. Ben & Hallee in front of the diner we ate at. I couldn't resist and had to try the bison burger for dinner. Pretty good! We saw a ton of waterfalls, the size of some of them were unbelievable This was my favorite spot in yellowstone. It is called artist point. I imagine this is why the park is named yellowstone. It is beautiful! This picture didn't do it justice. This was Hallee's favorite thing, swimming! There is a neat place where you can actually swim in the river. We didn't know about it, so we didn't have our swim suits, so Hallee went in the nude. We did go on a hike in yellowstone to a waterfall. It was not one of the main attractions so it was not busy, which was nice we had the trail almost to ourselves. Hallee did pretty well for a 5 mile hike. Ben ended up carrying her 4 out of the 5 miles. Yea Ben got a major arm workout. The hike was his idea. Talk about stopping traffic. It is funny how use to people the animals are. We were able to see lots of wild life, deer, bison, moose, elk, etc. the only thing we didn't see was a bear. Maybe next time. Ok we did see bears just not alive ones. I did get a sweet video of the bison crossing the road right in front of us. I couldn't get the sound to work. That was the best part of the video, sorry. And it was taken with my phone so it look blurry. Still pretty neat that we can be that close to wild life. These things were huge, and there were hundreds of them.

Ben's 30th Birthday

For Ben B-Day we went to the living planet Aquarium. I was surprise by just how many different creatures they had there. They had 6 or 7 different thing we could touch -star fish, sting rays, other really crazy looking things. Happy birthday Benjamin- at the frog room The Frog Hallee and Ben Measuring up. These were pretty fun to watch, they swim so fast then just zip up out of the water and land on two feet. Sting rays- these were super neat, it was kind of scary at first Hallee & I didn't even want to touch them. We all finally touched them. One of the sting rays loved attention and would swim round and round in a circle so we were able to touch him a lot. Amazing creatures. We then went to jump on it, with Family. Somewhat of a surprise for Ben. Thanks everyone for coming it was fun.

Liberty Park

We went to feed the ducks, but apperently they didn't want anything to eat, so Hallee just ran around instead. Monument for the wars that have been fought. Hallee pick about ever weed flower she could see She had a whole bunch of weeds and handed them out to all the family up there watching state tennis. Mac took third at state tennis. Way to go Emmerson!
