Amon 1 year old 5/28/12

Honestly I can't believe my baby is a year old. We were going to celebrate his b-day on his due date July 14th, since we were in St. George on his b-day & I haven't actually had him in my home for a year. But July is a busy month so we decided to combine Amon and Ben's birthdays.

Amon's stats from his 12 months appointment:

Weight 19lb 14.5 oz 27%

Length 30in 50%

Head 17.6in 14%

I am so excited about how much he has grown from his 9 months check up. Weight was in the 7% at 9 months now at 12 months Amon is in the 27%. Length at 9 months Amon was 1% now up to the 55%. We are finally above average in something; actually pretty excited that it is in height.

Doctor wants to keep him on formula for another 4 weeks. My doctor usually keeps preemies on formula until their due date not birth date. But since Amon has improved so much we will do 4 weeks instead of 7 weeks.

We had the Beck's over Saturday and the Peck's Sunday. Amon didn't quite understand opening presents so Hallee gladly did it for him.

St George 5/12

We decided to get away for memorial day so St George here we come. We are over due for some warm weather, hiking, swimming, and not having to cook.

Amon did pretty well swimming until he started shivering. The water wasn't warm enough for me to get in but Ben thought it was warm and Hallee didn't complain. Course Hallee will get into any sort of water, warm, cold or freezing; she is my little water bug. About 7 minutes into swimming Amon was shivering. Poor thing, he then joined me in the hot tub.

Went the next day while Amon was taking his nap. Hal, Jess & Ben enjoying the cold water.

Amon's NICU reunion 5/12

My big boy. I can't believe it has been a year already. Brings tears to my eyes to think about my litty bitty baby is almost a year old. The Nurses and Doctors at the NICU truly are god sent. To think that i have a completely health little boy. Miracles happen everyday -Thanks you NICU.

Tennis & The ZOO - May 2012

Mac's state tennis was up at liberty park. He took 3rd place at state. Good Job Mac! After the match since we were so close, we went to the zoo.

At the ZOO, Amon was an angle and Hallee was in amazement. Hallee loved the zoo, couldn't wait to see the monkeys. But the best part of the zoo is definitely the bird show. We were at the very front so the birds were flying right over our heads. So amazing how smart animals are. Amazing to see gods creations up close.
