A trip South - St. George

It is hard to come back home and get back into the swing of things, after a 5 day week in nice, sunny, warm St. George. St. George is wonderful this time of year, man I love the weather. We shopped, hiked, tennis, movie, games, Xbox (Ben) and even enjoyed a play. We also celebrated Tyler's birthday while we were there. Ben as Tarzan! Ben and I went to see the play Tarzan at Tauacon. If you haven't been you need to go, it was amazing. The apes were swing around right over our heads and at the end to finish off the play fire works. It was quite the performance. I really liked this picture, so I had to share it. We went to Texas Roadhouse and yes we made Ty sit on the saddle while we sang to him. Ty being less then excited that he had to sit in the hot seat. The Family at the restaurant celebrating ty's b-day - Ben's Brother even made it to the party. Hallee watched a movie the way down and slept almost the entire way home. Couldn't have been much better-actually it would have been better if we didn't have to stop for a pee break, on the side of the road. (hee hee not much you can do in the middle of nowhere with a child that has to pee.)

We did go hiking in Snow Canyon, it is gorgeous. Kenzie, Shea, Ben, Hallee and I, hiked up to a volcano or what is left of it. It wasn't a very long hike, about 1.5 round trip, but it was straight up. Hallee was carried pretty much the entire time, by Ben Shea and even Kenzie. I don't think we would do that hike again but it was a gorgeous view. Pictures soon to come.

We also visited the cave-I wasn't quite sure how Hal would do because it is pitch black, steep, and a bit tight and difficult in some spots. But she was amazing! Hallee was as happy as could be, because she got to hold her own flash light. Picture soon to come.

Hallee 3rd Birthday

Hallee just turned THREE! This year Hallee loves loves loves tinkerbell, we had a whole tinkerbell theme birthday party. We had the Peck's and the Beck's come to our house for one BIG costume party. I must say it was a little crazy but not as crazy as i thought it would be. It was a lot in one house, but everything turned out wonderful. Hallee dressed up as tinker bell- with her cake. The invitation said dress up - Ben dressed up as captin hook, Jess a farie and Hallee of course was tinkerbell. Everyone who didn't come in costume, I made them wear an eye patch and pixie dust (glitter).

Boating with the Beck's

Ben's father Dennis does a Beck Family Party every year in September. This year we talked them all into going boating with Ben and I. Most of the Beck's have never been boating/tubbing so this was quite the adventure. Yes i did say September, and yes the water was very cold. But it was a warm day and no one was actually planning on getting in the water, well besides Hallee (my little water bug will get in any water freezing or warm). Anyways continuing the story, I rounded up 10 kid life vest, coached and held there hands as we walked down the ramp to the boat. Suited them up and with much convincing we got them on the water banana. Hallee with her cousins, watching the boat pull the banana and tub, patiently waiting for her turn. All was going great we had adults on each run holding some of the kids. Then somehow the banana tipped over-(I am not exactly sure how it happened but, another tub bumped the banana, of course no one knew how to lean) and everyone was dumped into the cold lake. We then saw, four kids three of which were bawling, all clinging to Ashlee (Ben's sister). Don't worries, no one was actually hurt, they were just terrified. With a little convincing they all got back on the tub again. I must say i was impressed they got back on it. Such brave little kids! I was just disappointed i didn't have my camera out, that would have been great footage.

Labor Day Weekend

Hal 1st dance class My girl is so big, I can't believe she is in dance already. How time speeds by She does so well in it, i am a bit surprise, she is the best in the class. Of course every parent thinks their kid is the best, but Hal really is. Ben and I went to the BYU football game. I was pretty excited for the game so i bought us matching shirts. Sweet hun! Hal striking a pose in her new shirt. We then went to Scofield with the Peck Family. We took the kids to the lake to throw rocks. It was a little bit cold up in the mountains, funny to see the kids all bundled up so early in september. Ben teaching Dallin how to skip rocks. Ben also being a man in shorts.

Farm visit at Thanksgiving Point

The Last of August we decided to visit the dino museum, but everyone in lehi decided to visit it too, so we went to farm country instead. It was only 2 bucks- can't beat that. Ok so we could beat the deal by going to the Peck farm for free, but anyways. It is pretty cute, and is filled with all sorts of animals. Mac & Hal on the farm scale, I don't think it worked right? First we went to see the horse, cows and pony's. Hal loved the pony she called them baby horses. This one came right up to us, he loved attention. The pony then decided that Hal pink dress looked yummy. The Pony was eating Hal dress. Hallee didn't like this at all. I had to first take a picture then go to the rescue. Hayride (kind of lame) but Hallee loved it. Can't really tell from my picture though. Overall it was fun; they have pigs, cows, horsed, birds, etc. they have ducks you can feed, but they weren't interested when we went to feed them. So we gave our grains to the cows and chickens (don't know if we were allowed to or not? ops). They did have a Pony ride, that Hallee wanted to go on but it was like a 100 degrees and there were tonz of kids in line, so needless to say we skipped this.
