Update on the twins

Averie (week old)

Birth- 3lb 10oz & 16 3/4 inches.  Started antibiotics.  Breathing great!

1 day old- started breast milkthrough feeding   tube.

2 days old-stopped antibiotics.  Jaundice levels to high. under lights.  Tolerating feedings.

3 days old- oxygen machine,  stopped breathing.

4 days old- x-rays to check iv's.  stopped feeding not tolerating breast milk.

5 days old- off oxygen machine.  Ultrasound for heart murmur.  No more oxygen mask changed to c-pa. Stopped feedings. Started antibiotics again.

6 days old- jaundice down no more light no more purple mask. Started feeds in feeding tube again. Poopy today.

7 days old- x-ray tummy.  Starting to digest breast milk.  Stopped antibiotics.  Poopy today

Averie started out as a champ breathing all on her own.  But day  3 she was having breathing episodes.  She would stop breathing.  They put her on the oxygen machine.  The tube gear attached to her head. Since then infection treated with antibiotics.  Tolerating feedings again.  Jaundice levels down.  Changed from oxygen machine to just the c-pa (100% oxygen via tube in the nose).

birth- 3lb 12oz & 16 1/2 inches.  Started antibiotics.  C-pa tube for oxygen in her nose.

1 day old- started breast milkthrough feeding tube.

2 days old-stopped antibiotics.  Less oxygen levels in tube. Tolerating feedings.

3 days old- off oxygen tube.  Feeding tube moved to nose.  Lillie jaundice levels up, she under lights.  

4 days old- started caffeine doses(help with brain stimulation to breath).  Tolerating breast milk.

5 days old- Ultrasound for heart murmur. X-ray on tummy to check digestive system.  Got an Anemia to help digestive system.

6 days old- jaundice down no more light no more purple mask. Pull out her pick line through her belly button.

7 days old- had a poopy, doing great today!

Lillie started out with needing oxygen. but since then is doing amazing.  she is continually getting a little stronger each day.

Twins are here!

Babies are here and health.  The twins were born Wednesday August 7th at 8:30 & 8:37am.

Averie Lee Beck is 3 lbs 10 oz, 16 3/4 inches.  Lillie Lew Beck is 3 lbs 12 oz, 16 1/2 inches.  Both girls have a little bit of dark hair.  They are super tiny and beautiful.   Twins girls will be in NICU for a while.  mostly likely until October 7th which was there due date.

  Averie  is breathing all on her own.  Lillie is getting help with oxygen. Both on meds and fluids.  They were Introduced to breast milk last night, by feeding tubes (Thursday).  

Ben and I were able to hold them last night also for the first time.  They are both so amazing, tiny and fragile.  Ben and I feel very blessed to have our baby girls here and healthy.  I am so thankful for our many many blessing and to our father in heaven for sending two amazing girls.

Labor story:  Tuesday evening contractions started.  But not unusual,  as I have had contraction two other times in this pregnancy.  Doctors recommend laying down and not doing anything.  So me and the kids laid down and watched a movie Ratatouille; while Ben was at young men's.  Still contracting a little so I got a snack and went to bed about 10 ish.  Ruff night with more contractions; i got up at 2:00am to potty and walk around.  Tried to lay back down; got up at 4:00am to see if eating and liquids would help.  Finally woke Ben up about 4:50am to go to the hospital.  Packed and Piled the kiddos in the car, dropped them off at my sister house and got to the hospital about 5:50 am.  My water didn't break so I figured they give me shots and medicine to stop the contractions.  Checked in at the hospital and I was dilated to a 6 already with contractions every 5 minutes.  Nurses started prepping me for c-section.  Doctors were on there way.  At 6:50 dilated to an 8 with contractions every two minutes.  Still waiting for doctors.  In or room, spinal block for c-section administered.  Doctors finally get there and decided I can try and deliver instead of c-section.  They broke one water but then the other baby move into position.  Apparently Averie wanted to come first. So then they broke the other water sac.  I pushed 6-9 times and Averie was born at 8:30am.  Doctors move Lillie into canal.  I pushed 9-12 times and Lillie joined us at 8:37am. The babies sac were fused together.   There were two doctors and 9-10 nurses in the or with Ben and I, the whole time.  Three nurses waiting for each girl.  We felt so taken care of and a little overwhelmed.  My doctors an nurses were so amazing!  Both girls were assessed and rushed off to the NICU.  I was stitched up ad taken to recovery room.  Both girls are doing better then I could have hoped for. And for the first time after giving birth I actually feel pretty good.  Feeling so very blessed!

Amon is 2!

Amon turned the big 2!  Can't believe how little and how hard it was to get this amazing little guy here.  Seem like just yesterday my little struggling preemie came into our lives.  How we cherish and love him!

Some of amon's favorite things: his teddy bear, sports, basket balls, actually any sort of ball he can throw, cars, trains, running,  jumping, swings, playing in the water, swimming, playing with kitty, his bike, books, and animals. Amon loves watching curious George- Hallee has taught him well.  Amon loves hallee and has to do whatever she is doing.  Amon is a sweetheart, strong willed, stubborn, mute, very particular and picky, happy, loves to have fun, loving child. He is such a daddy's boy.  When Ben is home on the weekends Amon is his shadow.

Boating fun- water was cold but still didn't stop my kiddos from getting in.  Amon surfing with Ben for the first time.  From his facial expression you can tell he is not sure what to think about it.  One proud mama, such a big boy!

Amon usually dresses himself up in Halle's shoes once a day.  He came in today with these black beauties on and a pink purse!

Amon's in a big boy bed!  Amon figured out how to climb out of his crib a couple weeks ago.  So we upgraded to a big  boy bed.  He loves his bed!  I have never seen him so excited before.  It was so stinking cute!  Hallee and Amon breaking in the bed.

Found Amon sleeping behind his bed at nap time?  Lol. crazy boy sleeps in his bed at bed time and usually in a really weird spot at nap time?
